IndyCar racer, Danica Patrick has a couple of speeding tickets. How is this even a story? The Associated Press reported that she paid for $196 fine for a recent ticket and that it is among several she has had in the past three years.

To try and motivate our bloggers to get inbound links we're going to have a contest to see which blogger can get the most inbound links to their blog. The contest begins now and ends July 31st, 2008. To be entered in to the contest all you have to do is go out and get as many websites to link to your blog as you can and at the end of the month send us an email listing all those links. All links must be active from August 1st through August 7th when we'll be judging the entries - a winner will be announced on August 7th. Now that the twelve year divorce between the two American OPEN WHEEL factions -once known as CHAMPCAR and the IRL (Indy Racing League) have been cleaved back together (with no great "thanks" to INDYCAR CEO TONY GEORGE..., the guy who caused the split in the first place) will INDYCAR make the great comeback many insiders are predicting? Apparently COCA-COLA and DIRECT-TV think so as they have recently become M-A-J-O-R sponsors of the newly revitalized INDYCAR Series. And don't look now but there is a whole new generation of "Name" Open Wheel Racers ready to come to prominence in 2008. These new drivers, all replete with HEAVY RIGHT FOOT and ICEWATER in their VEINS are Sons and Grand Sons of legendary Drivers with names like ANDRETTI, FOYT, RAHAL, UNSER, LUYENDYK and they are all FAST, ready to assault the established Open Wheel Ace Drivers..., like DANCING With the STARS 2 TIME INDY 500 WINNER HELIO CASTRONEVES, New Zealander SCOTT DIXON, accomplished tri-athlete and star of Team ANDRETTI-Green Racing TONY KANAAN and of course let's not forget THE MOST RECENT first time INDYCAR WINNER (Motegi, Japan) -- DANICA PATRICK. I once heard life is all a matter of timing. Danica's timing(or breaks) in Japan were excellent today.
MOTEGI, Japan - Danica Patrick became the first female winner in IndyCar history Sunday, taking the Indy Japan 300 after the top contenders were forced to pit for fuel in the final laps. Patrick finished 5.8594 seconds ahead of pole-sitter Helio Castroneves on the 1.5-mile Twin Ring Motegi oval after leader Scott Dixon pitted with five laps left and Dan Wheldon and Tony Kanaan came in a lap later.
